Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information Mail Club List (operated by Naveen Dhanapal, a sole proprietorship registered in India) collects when you use mailclublist.com, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

Account information. Email address, display name and authentication identifiers when you sign in with Google or an email magic link. If you claim a club listing, we also store the creator details you provide (name, bio, links).

Location. Only at city/region granularity, and only if you provide it — never a street address. This is used to show clubs based in or shipping to your area. We never ask for or store a precise address.

Usage information. Pages viewed, searches, saves, follows, collections, and similar in-product actions, plus standard technical data (approximate country from network location, browser type, timestamps) used for analytics and to keep the Service secure.

Payment information. If you buy Premium Membership, payment is handled entirely by Polar, our payment partner and merchant of record. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded or was refunded, the order identifier and the email address used at checkout — we never receive or store your card number.

Content you submit. Club suggestions, listing claims, reports, reviews of mail received, and any images or text you upload.

2. How we use information

To operate and improve the Service: show you relevant clubs, remember your saves and follows, process Premium Membership billing and entitlements, moderate submissions, respond to support requests, and understand aggregate usage so we can fix what is broken.

3. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

• Service providers who process it on our behalf under contract — Supabase (database and authentication), Cloudflare (hosting, CDN), Polar (payments).
• Other users, for information you choose to make public — e.g. a claimed listing’s creator profile, or a public collection.
• Legal or safety reasons — if required by law, or to protect the rights, property or safety of Mail Club List, our users, or the public.

4. Cookies & similar technologies

We use cookies for authentication (keeping you signed in) and essential site functionality, and limited analytics to understand usage. You can control cookies through your browser; blocking essential cookies may prevent sign-in from working.

5. Data retention

We keep account and listing data for as long as your account is active or a listing is published. You can request deletion at any time (Section 7); we retain what we are legally required to (e.g. billing records) for the period required by applicable law.

6. Security

We rely on our infrastructure providers’ security practices (encryption in transit, access controls, row-level security on our database) and limit access to personal information to what each system needs. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your rights

You can access, correct, or delete your account information from your account settings, or by emailing support@mailclublist.com. If you are in India, you may exercise the rights available to you as a Data Principal under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, including the right to access, correct, and erase your personal data, and to withdraw consent, by contacting our Grievance Officer — see Contact & support.

8. Children’s privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

9. International transfers

Our service providers may process information outside India. Where they do, we rely on their own contractual and security safeguards for that transfer.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new version here with an updated date, and notify active Premium Members of material changes.
